THE IMPORTANCE OF PERSONAL QUALITIES IN THE PROCESS OF TEACHING CHESS AND THINKING FROM A LOGICAL POINT OF VIEW FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

In the article, the development of personal qualities and logical thinking skills among elementary school students through playing chess is studied as a relevant scientific and practical problem. It is emphasized that the effectiveness of using chess as an educational tool largely depends on the individual characteristics of the player, as well as such mental processes as memory, attention, and thinking. To fully assess the potential of elementary school students for learning chess, a methodology for assessing aptitude in 5 areas is proposed: psychological potential, physical qualities, mental qualities, creative and moral virtues.
