In the article is considered the influence of the area of the passag e of seeds between the mill and the exit of seeds from the working chamber of the moving seed comb in the zone. Seeds are fully released from the fibre out of the working chamber is affected by the rate of return of the seeds. It is known that with increasing performance and decreasing the distance between the saws return coefficient KV is increased, with a change in position of the seed comb is toist with increasing distance between the grate and seed comb this ratio decreases. Previous research has found that with a gin capacity of 9-10 kg of fiber per saw per hour, the return coefficient of KV=3-4. It was found that on fiber separation machines, 30-35 % of the completely freed seeds from the fiber leave the working chamber, and the remaining 65 -70% of the seeds return to the working chamber of the gin. Our experimental studies have studied the effect of the distance between the grate and the seed comb on the coefficient of return of seeds KV and achieved a decrease in the coefficient of return of seeds from 3-4 to 2.5-2.8, this naturally led to an increase in the yield of seeds from the working chamber and the productivity of the gin.
