Аннотация

In the pancreas, the accumulation of fat is referred to under various names. Similarly, the etiology of the disease is different. Epidemiological data are scarce. Epidemiological studies conducted between 2014 and 2016 indicate that the prevalence of non-alcoholic pancreatic fatty disease (NAFPD) ranges from 16 to 35%. This is mainly based on the results obtained in the Asian population [8-10]. Only one epidemiological study, which was published in 2016 [11], related to the pediatric population and set the prevalence of pancreatic steatosis at 10%. The limiting factor of this work is the fact that it was done exclusively for hospitalized children, and not for the general pediatric population.
