This article focuses on investigation of the locativity of place in the Uzbek and English languages, place predicates and the informative level of their arguments, the importance of place predicates for the listener is emphasized. Place predicates become active at different stages of the formation of a speech act as a means of accessing a place of movement. A local predicate is expressed in full verbs that point directly to the content of a location
