Аннотация

The reflective practice approach has positively shaped teacher education and development programs as it relates to pedagogical practice. A teacher synthesizes teaching theory and practice and evaluates student reactions in the classroom, which functions as a laboratory. This paper aims to stress the relevance of reflective teaching and assess the level of teachers' cognizance of it. It highlights the necessity of reflective practice in classroom teaching and how a teacher’s practice can be enhanced through reflective teaching. Keywords: Classroom practices, Reflection, Reflective teaching, Teacher education Navigating through our lives, we continuously engage with our surroundings, including with ourselves. According to Polkinghorne [1,345] people have stories that define their existence. Addressing different issues, educators tend to solve them by integrating these stories into their frameworks either individually or in teams. Reflective practices in education include the capacity to self-assess, implement, and actively cultivate learning at the institutional level. Reflective teaching extends beyond just utilizing teaching methods; it involves introspection and continual improvement. As a new teacher, I frequently evaluated the effectiveness of my classes, identified areas for improvement, and sought feedback from both students and colleagues. Through my experience as a volunteer teacher for two years, I discovered that self- assurance and thoughtful reflection were crucial in my teaching approach. Initially, I placed emphasis on delivering textbook content without much consideration for reflection. However, a pivotal moment occurred during a health and physical education class when I shared a personal anecdote with my students. Witnessing their heightened engagement and curiosity made me recognize the significant impact of reflective teaching techniques. Incorporating reflective practices into my teaching methodology resulted in a significant enhancement in student engagement and comprehension of the material. The act of reflecting on my teaching has become a valuable resource during challenging moments in the classroom. Overall, the experience of being a reflective educator has contributed to my growth as a teacher and has facilitated the integration of theoretical principles with practical teaching scenarios. Reflective teaching focuses on self-assessment and continual improvement, and 109 ACADEMIC RESEARCH IN MODERN SCIENCE International scientific-online conference has had a profound impact on my teaching development. Upon further contemplation, it becomes evident that engaging in reflective teaching serves as a valuable tool for professional growth within the classroom setting. The fundamental principles underpinning reflective practice emphasize its role in bridging the gap between theory and application, enhancing classroom pedagogy, and fostering continuous professional development through experiential learning [2,6]. As such, reflective teaching serves as a crucial avenue for synthesizing theoretical knowledge with practical implementation. In order to spearhead positive changes and enhancements in teaching practices, educators must actively assess and examine their own methodologies and underlying beliefs by collecting, analyzing, and evaluating classroom data. Reflection and reflective teaching Reflective teaching is an essential method for educators to assess and improve their language teaching practices. It has emerged as a foundational aspect of professional development in teacher education worldwide. Language teachers are encouraged to adopt a mindset that views reflection as a necessary tool for not only enhancing their classroom routines but also identifying and resolving any issues that may arise. It is common for teachers to rely on established teaching methods due to personal beliefs or a lack of ongoing professional development. However, teacher education plays a crucial role in reshaping and enhancing the education system of a country. The quality of education is directly linked to the quality of teachers and their instruction. By engaging in reflective practice, teachers can gain a deeper insight into their teaching approaches and tailor their methods to better meet their educational objectives. This ongoing reflection allows educators to continually evolve and improve their practices for the benefit of their students. The importance of high-quality teacher education programs and reflective practice has gained increased recognition, as simply having teaching experience does not automatically lead to enhanced practices [3,237]. Teachers hold a significant responsibility in promoting reflection among their students in the classroom using methods that can impact the value placed on reflective practice. This suggests that reflection should go beyond mere sessions or training exercises. It is recommended that teachers remain open to and consider new teaching methods by keeping up with c
