The declining level of reading in modern Uzbek society, especially among generation Z, is a pressing problem. At the same time, when looking at the history of our literature, the contribution of Jadid writers in the formation of Uzbek prose and leading the nation towards enlightenment at the beginning of the 20thcentury is incomparable. During the research, the main ideological and aesthetic aspects of Jadid prose were studied, and what kind of spiritual and moral impact they can have on today's youth was analyzed. Propaganda methods suitable for generation Z were identified: the need to popularize reading through digital platforms, strengthen connections with modern writers, and give a wider place tonational prose samples in educational programs was clarified.
