Аннотация

This article explores the formation of gender stereotypes in Uzbek historiography and their impact on social roles. It analyzes the portrayal of women and men in historical sources, focusing on their relation to social and cultural contexts. The study draws on key sources of Uzbek history, such as "Zubdat ut- 92 SCIENCE SHINE INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC JOURNAL Issue 13(48), Volume 1 | ISSN 3030-377X | 5.06.2025 tavorix," and contemporary research. Findings reveal that the limited depiction of women, often confined to domestic roles, and the emphasis on men’s active, leadership roles reinforce gender stereotypes. The study highlights the influence of the patriarchal system and the need to reassess these stereotypes in modern historiography. Keywords: Uzbek historiography, gender stereotypes, women’s image, social roles, historical sources, patriarchal system.
