Eastern poetess Zebunnisobegim, who lived and wrote in the second half of the 17th century, was Zakhiriddin Bobur’s granddaughter and the daughter of Indian king Avrangzeba Olamgir. She lived in India. According to that epoch’s traditions she wrote in Farsi-Tajik language. Besides lyric poems she devoted her books to people’s morality and upbringing. Zebunnisobegim argues with her society, cruel attitude and offences towards poor people, especially women, cause deep sorrow in her heart.
