This article provides an in-depth analysis of the legal basis, procedures and norms established by labor legislation for the termination of an employment contract. The process of terminating an employment contract, which is one of the important stages of labor relations, the rights and obligations of the employee and the employer, as well as the legal consequences that arise depending on the initiator of the termination, are considered. The article analyzes the cases of termination of the contract at the initiative of the employer, at the request of the employee and by mutual agreement of the parties based on the current norms of the Labor Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It also covers cases of illegal termination of an employment contract and mechanisms for their prevention.
