Аннотация

This study presents a corpus-based analysis of derived folk healing terms in English and Uzbek, examining their frequency and distribution across diverse textual data. Folk healing traditions are deeply embedded in cultural heritage, and their linguistic manifestation offers valuable insights into societal beliefs, practices, and historical evolution. Through the application of computational linguistic methods, this research identifies common derivational patterns (e.g., affixation, compounding) in both languages and quantifies their prevalence in a specialized corpus. The findings highlight bothuniversal tendencies in term formation and culturally specific linguistic features, contributing to our understanding of cross-cultural medical terminology, lexicography, and translation studies. Keywords: Corpus linguistics, folk healing, derived terms, English, Uzbek, frequency, distribution, word formation, cultural linguistics.
