The concept of mediation is derived from the Latin word "mediare", which means "to mediate". Resolving family disputes is a responsible task, therefore, in many foreign countries, mediators have special requirements for professional qualifications, additional special training in the field of family mediation, age and practical experience. In most foreign countries, the resolution of family disputes through mediation is developed and its rate is quite high. In this article, the role of mediation in solving family disputes, as well as its problems, are highlighted, practical suggestions are given regarding these problems, and the role of mediation in foreign countries is analyzed.
