Аннотация

This article is devoted to the study of the concept of punctuation and its place in language education. The study was conducted on the basis of literature analysis, analyzing the theoretical foundations of punctuation in linguistics, pedagogical approaches in education and modern teaching methods. The results show that punctuation is not only a technical tool that constitutes written speech, but also an important language element that provides meaning- making and communicative efficiency. In order to develop effective methods of teaching punctuation in the educational process, a deep understanding of its linguistic and pragmatic functions is necessary.
