This article explores the major challenges of intercultural communication arising from the global use of English as a lingua franca. As English continues to dominate international business, education, and digital communication, it brings together speakers from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. However, this widespread usage often leads to misunderstandings, misinterpretations, and communication barriers caused by differences in cultural norms, values, and communicative styles. The article analyzes real-life examples, highlights the role of pragmatics and context, and discusses strategies for overcoming intercultural communication difficulties.
