The study also discusses how AI personalizes learning, enhances engagement, and facilitates assessment. Furthermore, the paper evaluates the psychological aspects of using AI, such as learner motivation and autonomy, and emphasizes the necessity of teacher training to effectively integrate AI into classrooms. Despite challenges like data privacy and over-reliance on automation, the integration of AI holds the potential to make foreign language education more effective, equitable, and inclusive. The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) has significantly reshaped the landscape of education, particularly in foreign language learning. As educators and learners strive to meet the evolving demands of language proficiency, AI technologies have emerged as invaluable tools in overcoming traditional barriers. These barriers include the limited availability of qualified teachers, the high cost of language immersion programs, and the challenges posed by diverse learning styles and paces. AI has the potential to bridge these gaps by offering personalized learning experiences, enabling autonomous practice, and providing immediate feedback. The aim of this article is to explore the evolving role of AI in language education, focusing on its impact through various technologies such as intelligent tutoring systems (ITS), speech recognition, and natural language processing (NLP). However, despite these advantages, there are also challenges to ITS integration. One concern is the potential for over-reliance on technology, which could reduce face-to-face interaction with human teachers and peers.
