COMPLEX REHABILITATION MEASURES IN PATIENTS SUFFERING WITH RADICULOPATHIES OF THE VERTEBROGENOUS LUMBAR AREA

The purpose of the research: development of complex rehabilitation measures for the treatment of patients with spondylogenic radiculopathy of the lumbar spine. Materials and methods: We observed 168 patients with vertebrogenic radiculopathy of the lumbar spine. 66 (33%) of examined patients were diagnosed with reflex-tonic syndrome, 92 (55%) with root syndrome, 10 (6%) with compression-ischemic syndrome. Obtained results: All inpatient patients were divided into two equal groups, gender and age, and all underwent clinical-neurological, ENMG, and MRI examinations. The first group of our patients were treated at the stage of inpatient and outpatient polyclinics, the main group of patients were treated at the inpatient, rehabilitation center and under the supervision of an outpatient polyclinic. At the end of the treatment phase, the overall efficiency was 97% in the main group of patients and 85.5% in the control group. Conclusion: In our observation, the effectiveness of complex rehabilitation measures, i.e. inpatient, rehabilitation and outpatient treatment, reduced neurological deficits and time of disability in patients and improved quality of life.
