This article provides information about changes in the field of education in the Republic of Karakalpakstan at the beginning of the XX century, specific directions of development, reforms, the service of parties in the field of education, the influence of Russification policy on ethnography, Muslim schools, madrasas, schools of the Russian system, describes the issues of literacy and service of education workers.
