ECONOMIC ASSESSMENT OF CROP PRODUCTION ECOSYSTEM SERVICES OF KARAKALPAKSTAN AND TASHKENT REGION

The given research work aims to analyze Ecosystem Services of crop production area of Uzbekistan, mainly in two regions: Republic of Karakalpakstan and Tashkent Province. After analysis, I will try to give proper assessment of ecosystem service using socio-economic quantification of Ecosystem Services. Mainly the market price valuation method is applied in this research. The results have shown that Total Net Benefits from Provisional Ecosystem Services of Karakalpakstan varied around 523,033,660 Euros while Tashkent region had bigger numbers and was about 725,628,371 Euros. The assumption that soil bonitet score positively affects the soil productivity and fertility thus also positive influences the economic value of provisional Ecosystem Services of crop production areas was proven to hold true using major data and regression analysis of the data. For instance, the results of research that Tashkent region having more soil bonitet score than Karakalpasktan showed that per hectare economic value (€2,133) of croplands is higher than per hectare economic value (€1,772) of ES of Karakalpakstan croplands for almost 360 Euros.
