Аннотация

The article contains proposals for double regulation of the groundwater level in order to obtain a high yield with the lowest water consumption. The main policy for the design of reclamation facilities (irrigation and drainage construction) has so far been aimed at lowering the groundwater level below the critical depth by building drainage on irrigated lands. At the same time, the value of the critical occurrence of the groundwater level, depending on the type of soil, was taken within 2.5 - 3.5 m from the earth's surface. It was believed that at such a depth of the groundwater level, evaporation from it would be minimal or equal to zero. This criterion ensured the prevention of secondary soil salinization.
