PHYSIOLOGICAL AND BIOCHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF ORAL FLUID IN CHILDREN WITH CONGENITAL CEREBRAL PALSY

A comprehensive clinical-dental and laboratory study was conducted in 299 children and adolescents, including; 6-9 years -102; 10-13 years old - 100; and 14-18-year-olds -97; by gender - 168 boys and 131 girls: 143 of them with cerebral palsy (main group - AG), 156 patients (control group - NG) without somatic pathology. The most important biochemical indicators were studied; pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokines, interleukins, superoxide dismutase activity, prooxidant system and antioxidant system, lipid peroxidation, calcium (Ca) and phosphorus (R) content, oral fluid viscosity and buffer capacity were evaluated.
